A competition was held in the sixteenth century to decorate the walls of this illustrious venue. It was won by Tintoretto, who between 1575 and 1587 created a pictorial cycle with scenes from the Old and New Testaments of extraordinary dramatic power. It will be able to excite even those who do not understand art.

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection is one of the most important museums in Italy for European and American art of the 20th century located in Venice at Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, on the Grand Canal, in what was once Peggy Guggenheim's home.
